Miracle Diapers - Cloth Diapers for low income families

With the increase in applicants our organization needs to expand. We are looking for a few more volunteers to join our online team.

Current Openings for volunteers (NONpaying jobs):

Volunteer Seamstress:
Basic sewing skills are welcome! Join the Miracle Diapers Sewing Team and participate in monthly projects and contests for cool prizes. Simply join our Sewing Yahoo Group (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/MDsewingvolunteers/) to sign up.

Chapter Managers: (USA Residents Only)

For this position, you will be expected to:

1. Run a chapter out of your home by accepting donations and providing tax receipts, keeping detailed records, filling orders and providing support to your approved applicants, and advertising Miracle Diapers locally.

2. Have space to store cloth diapers in an organized fashion; a computer with internet access to communicate with the team via our forums, Yahoo messenger or email; have knowledge of and access to computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel.

3. Check-in bi-weekly on the forums and monthly via chat. The check-in is for us to track progress while the chat is to discuss overall progress, address concerns and set goals for the next month.

4. Purchase a postage scale, printer, polymailers, and stamps (some of these costs may be covered by Miracle Diapers -- depending on the current budget)

5. Commit 10+ hours a week to Miracle Diapers related tasks.

*Sewing experience is a plus, but not required.

Donations Manager:

This person will be put in charge of the donation inbox to direct donations to the appropriate chapters.
Time Commitment: Less than 5 hours a week.

Fundraising Manager:

Self-explanatory. Experience is a must.
Time Commitment: Varies

Grant Writers:

Self-explanatory. Experience is a must.
Time Commitment: Varies

APPLICANTS:
A resume and cover letter is a plus, but not required.

Interviews will be conducted by Kim over the phone.

Upon recruitment, you will be expected to sign a contract that will last for six months. If chapters are reviewed poorly on a consistent basis, managers will be subject to immediate dismissal.
