More About Roxy

Roxanna was born and raised in South Korea outside Camp Humphreys, an army base at which her father was employed. She moved to the U.S. soon after graduating high school.
She became a volunteer for Miracle Diapers in August 2007. She is one of many families Miracle Diapers has loaned diapers to and is extremely thankful for the FuzziBunz that have made her fiance more willing to help change diapers.
Roxanna's community service experience includes a residential program with AmeriCorps National Community Corps (NCCC), which allowed her to work in and around Washington, D.C. Her favorite projects were located in Kimberton, PA where she worked with developmentally disabled adults at Camphill Village (founded by Karl Konig, who was inspired by the philosopher Rudolf Steiner of the Waldorf movement) and also at the Gesundheit Institute in Hilsboro, West Virginia (the future site for the Gesundheit hospital inspired by Patch Adams). Although the D.C. campus no longer exists, she feels it is kept alive by her commitment to service.
Her goals include a degree in Human Services, though the ultimate pursuit is to serve in the Peace Corps. For the time being, she enjoys staying at home with her sixteen month old daughter. Roxanna is very much an attachment parent and fully advocates breastfeeding, co-sleeping, babywearing, cloth diapering, anti/selective vaccinations, and gentle discipline.
In her spare time, Roxanna enjoys gardening, hiking, MMORPG's, reading, and genealogical research. Sometimes her fiance convinces her to go climbing when he's itching to get out on some real rock. (They have a climbing wall at home.)
Though she lives in a small town between Grants Pass and Medford, she appreciates the beautiful scenery the area has to offer and always looks forward to making the trip to the Redwoods near Jedidiah Smith Park, which is only an hour and a half away.
