More About Amanda
Amanda is a stay at home, unschooling mom to two beautiful princesses in Michigan, where she has lived all of her life. She follows the radical unschooling way of life, which is similar to attachment parenting, but carries on throughout the child's life and includes things like no chores and no bedtimes (but doesn't mean that her girls never help out around the house or go to bed when they are tired).
She has been a Miracle Diapers volunteer since December 2005. She had originally wanted to start her own local non-profit corporation providing cloth diapers to low income families, when a friend introduced her to Ruth and she was then asked to come aboard as a Chapter Manager.
So, she started out as a Chapter Manager, moved to an administrative position about a year later, then took a leave of absence in 2007 after a family tragedy. She came back in early 2008 as an application processor.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys photography, reading and sewing.
She is currently working on becoming a professional photographer.
